Ebbets Field, designed by Charles R.V. Buskirk and financed by Charles Ebbets, owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers, was located in Flatbush. Player Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier at the stadium in 1947. After its demolition on April 24, 1960, various parts of the stadium were sold as memorabilia.
